Mary O’Mahony is Professor of Applied Economics, King’s College London. She is also a visiting Research Associate at ZEW in Mannheim and was recently appointed as a Fellow at the UK Office for National Statistics. Her research interests are in the areas of measuring and explaining international differences in productivity, technology and growth; human capital formation and its impacts on productivity; measuring intangible capital and measuring performance in public services, including health and education. She is the author of numerous journal articles and books, including papers in the Review of Income and Wealth, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Productivity Analysis, Research Policy, Labour Economics, the Journal of Economic Perspectives, and Economica. She has received funding for research from UK and international research bodies, and has coordinated or participated in a number of EC framework programme grants.
