D.S. Prasada Rao
D.S. Prasada Rao is Professor of Economics at the University of Queensland in Australia. He has been a member of the IARIW for nearly 30 years and is a regular contributor to the IARIW general conferences as an author, discussant and also as an organizer of sessions. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Review of Income and Wealth. His main research interests are in the area of economic measurement including: index number methods for international comparisons of prices, real income, output and productivity; measurement of regional and global inequality and poverty; and the measurement of efficiency and productivity levels and growth and its decomposition. He has been actively involved in the International Comparison Program for several decades, has served as a consultant to various international organizations including the World Bank, the Asian and African Development Banks, ILO, FAO, ESCAP and the OECD. He is currently a member of the Technical Advisory Group for the 2011 Round of the ICP at the World Bank.
