Gabriel Simbila is a principal statistician with a background in statistics and economics, working with the Tanzanian National Bureau of Statistics in various positions, including in National Accounts statistics where he has been working for more than fifteen years. He was born and grew up in the central part of Tanzania, and started school in junior seminary thereafter went for further education at Makerere University, Uganda where he graduated in Bachelor of Statistics and later on specialized in MSc in Agricultural Statistics at Sokoine University in Tanzania. His area of interests includes research work.
