Call for Articles to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Review of Income and Wealth
For 75 years, the Review of Income and Wealth (ROIW) has brought together scholars on economic measurement and the study of income and wealth. As the official journal of the IARIW, the Review has served as a platform for researchers from academia, statistical agencies and international organization and has advanced the scientific debates on important topics such as the System of National Accounts (SNA), the measurement of inequality and international comparisons of well being. To mark this milestone, the IARIW Council and ROIW Editorial Board invite all IARIW members to compile their favorite ROIW issue, drawing on the full history of ROIW articles. What articles have been influential in shaping a field? How has the scientific debate in an area evolved over the years? What are milestone articles that deserve renewed attention?
How does it work?
- Select (up to) 10 articles from the Review’s history on a topic of your choice. The full history of ROIW articles can be found on Wiley’s website and (up to 2022) on ROIW.org. The topic can be broad (e.g., articles shaping the SNA) or focused (e.g., the use of scanner data for measuring inflation).
- Create a title and write a brief description of this topic. Here are some examples of past virtual issues.
- Use the DOI-link that can be found with each article on Wiley’s website to identify the article
- Each submission will be bundled into a virtual issue (for examples, see here) and every virtual issue will be listed with the title and topic description on a special anniversary webpage on iariw.org. The name of the person who submitted the issue will not be identified.
- IARIW Members will vote via an online ballot on their favorite issues. At the Member’s Meeting on August 26, the persons with the highest-scoring issues will be recognized.
- You can find the online form to submit here.
